Things To See Before Parting

Aug 14, 2021

1. Plastic products

1. The appearance of the product is generally out of the front mold, which meets the control requirements of 2D tolerance.

2. After the mold is opened, the product generally stays in the back mold.

Second, the parting line

1. The clamping line produced by the contact between the front and rear mold cores is called the parting line, which is generally the largest contour line of the product. When the product is the upper and lower cover, the parting line should be as consistent as possible to ensure the beautiful assembly.

2. When there are steps in the parting line, try not to produce a frontal step difference, and the side of the male mold needs to be stolen within 0.05~0.1MM.

3. Parting surface

The surface where the front and back mold cores meet is called the parting surface, and the optimal selection of the parting surface is flat, inclined, curved, curved, and 3D.

Fourth, touch through the surface

1. The area where there are holes on the product needs to be made with the touch-through surface.

2. When the product has horn holes or mesh holes, in order to prevent burrs on the through surface, 1/3 of the through surface should be made on the side of the female mold, and 2/3 of the thickness should be made on the side of the male mold. While doing stealing glue, within 0.05~0.1MM.

Five, penetrating surface

1. Generally, for medium and large molds, in order to ensure the life of the mold, the penetration angle is controlled within 3°~5°.

2. For small connector molds, in order to control product tolerance and assembly, the penetration angle can be within 0.2°~0.5°.
